Watch Barking-Mad Trailer for HBO Max’s “Haute Dog” Dog Grooming Competition (Video)

This one should make you wag your tail. HBO Max released the trailer for the absurd ‘Haute Dog’ dog grooming competition on Tuesday – these pooches will make your pet look like a mangy pooch. (Let’s be honest, it could have been anyway.)

On “Haute Dog”, celebrity dog groomer (yes that’s one thing) Jess Rona leads the jury of three dog the groomers compete in two rounds of furball trimming, with the Best-in-Show winner taking home $ 10,000 and a first-place rosette. (We had to research this term: a “rose window” is a “rose-shaped decoration, usually made of ribbon and awarded to the winners of a contest.” Cool.)

Or, as the connection line puts it, “These dog makeover wizards are vying to turn K-9s into K-10s. “

Matt Rogers hosts the show; Robin Thede is a judge.

Savor the trailer for “Haute Dog” (you better have seen what we did there) via the video above.

The series was inspired by the social media presence of dog grooming expert Rona and the table book “Groomed”.

Tony Hernandez, Brooke Posch and Séamus Murphy-Mitchell of Jax Media will executive produce with Nicolle Yaron and Rona. Abi McCarthy will serve as showrunner.

“Haute Dog” debuts Thursday, September 24 on HBO Max.
