Pets of the Week: JoJo and Buster are looking for their forever home after being abandoned

JACKSON, MI — The Jackson County Animal Shelter, 3770 Spring Arbor Road, has many pets available for adoption.

Here are two.

Buster is a 2 year old American Staffordshire mix who came in as a stray. This big guy is super friendly and loves spending time with his human. He is house trained, not a jumper or barker and is laid back. Buster will carry a toy in his mouth and he gets along well with most other dogs.

JoJo is a 2 year old tuxedo cat who was abandoned by his owner. JoJo is super friendly and comes to you when you open the door to his cage. She is a smaller girl who is mostly black with white markings.

An encounter with a dog is mandatory. A guided chat room tour is available to test the reaction. The dog adoption fee is $150 for medium and large dogs and $250 for puppies and small dogs, which includes vaccinations, microchipping and neutering.

Cat adoption fees are $60 for one cat, $80 for two, which includes applicable tests, vaccines, and neutering.

It’s always best to visit the shelter, but other adoption resources include online applications at https://www.co.jackson.mi.us/2302/Our-Adoptable-Animals, by faxing 517-780-4750 or by emailing [email protected]
