Marikina LGU to Open Citywide Free Pet Registration, Rabies Vaccination – Manila Bulletin

Marikina City Veterinary Office (CVO) will conduct on-site registration and rabies vaccination of dogs and cats in barangays in the city from March 15-24.

The activity, which is part of Rabies Awareness Month, encourages individuals and communities to be responsible pet owners by properly registering their pets and protecting them from rabies.

According to the Marikina City Public Information Office (PIO), registration fees have been waived to ease the financial burdens of residents affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Vaccination and registration sites will open on Tuesday March 15 in the areas of Barangay Kalumpang, Barangay San Roque and Barangay Sta. Helen.

On Wednesday, March 16, activities will begin at Barangays Barangka, Tañog, Jesus Dela Peña and Industrial Valley Complex (ICV). A site in Provident Village will also open that day.

Pet owners can register and have their dogs and cats vaccinated at Barangays Sto. Niño, Malanday and three venues at Concepcion Uno on Thursday, March 17.

Activities will continue in 12 areas of Barangay Concepcion Uno on Friday, March 18.
