Low-Cost Pet Vaccination, Microchipping Clinics Open to McHenry County Residents – Shaw Local

McHenry County pet owners whose pets need rabies vaccinations can enroll in McHenry County Animal Control’s low-cost rabies vaccination and microchipping clinics.

According to a news release, discounted vaccination and microchipping packages are being offered at these clinics in recognition of Public Health Month.

McHenry County Animal Control will hold two clinics in April at its animal control location at 100 N. Virginia St. in Crystal Lake. A cat clinic will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on April 19 and a dog clinic will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on April 26.

These services are available to McHenry County pet owners only, and an appointment must be made in advance. Registration is now open. To reserve a spot, call 815-459-6222. Payment will be accepted only in cash or by check at both events.

Dog owners who take advantage of the discounted vaccine and microchip package will pay $20 for a one-year vaccine, microchip and registration tag. Cat owners will pay $15. Fees will be an additional $5 for animals that are not fixed.

One-year vaccines will be available at the same prices as the package. Three-year vaccines will be available for $30 with an additional registration fee. Pet owners who are only interested in having their pets microchipped at either clinic will pay $15.
