1 knocked inside the house after gunfire in the same spot where the Orlando teenager was killed a year ago

FOX 35 is working to get information about a shooting in Orlando late Wednesday night. This is exactly the same place that a 15-year-old was shot and killed exactly one year ago.

The shooting took place shortly before 11 p.m. near the intersection of Columbia and Parramore Ave.

“A person who was not involved in the incident sustained non-life threatening gunshot wounds while sitting at home,” Orlando Police said in an update Thursday.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment. No other injuries were reported.

Several people who may have been involved in the shooting have been arrested.

Our FOX 35 team was at the scene and reported seeing crime scene investigators searching the area with flashlights and looking at what appeared to be shell casings. They also seemed to focus on a car parked on the street.

The investigation is ongoing.

The incident occurred on the one-year anniversary of the murder of 15-year-old Antwan Roberts, Jr.. The teenager was shot and killed near this intersection in broad daylight.

In April, Orlando Police launched another appeal to the community to help them find responsible for his death. After his death, local leaders urgently called on the community to respond.

We are working to find out if police believe Wednesday’s incident is related to Roberts’ death.
